Brief Bio (100 words)

Michael Stephen Branicky received the B.S. (1987) and M.S. (1990) in
Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics from Case Western Reserve
University.  He achieved the Sc.D. in Electrical Engineering and
Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1995).
In 1997 he re-joined CWRU, where he currently is Associate Professor of
Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.  He has held research
positions at MIT's AI Lab, Wright-Patterson AFB, NASA Ames, Siemens
Corporate Research (Munich), and Lund Institute of Technology's Dept. of
Automatic Control.  Research interests include hybrid systems,
intelligent control, and learning, with applications to robotics,
manufacturing, control over networks, and biology.
